I looked up yesterday and discovered that is was almost May....of TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN! I feel like the days, months and years are flying by.
This winter has been a doozy with my husbands several surgeries, death and illness in the family and just plugging along day by day. There certainly hasn't been a lot of space for intentionality or quiet, but we've done our best to stay present.
How do you stay present in the midst of chaos that is beyond your control? Me? I crochet...actually, I put my crochet hook down for several months because I didn't even have energy for that, but I'm getting back to it. Creating beautiful things makes me happy and watching someone wear my creations and FEEL beautiful is even better!

Are you spending hours ruminating in sadness or anger? Are you catastrophizing your circumstances, feeling hopeless and powerless? Is your anxiety become so intense that it impairs your life? Are you lashing out at the people around you or isolating out of a need to avoid life and its hardships?
If so, it’s probably time to talk to someone.
At one time, you felt joy in your hobbies, friendships and family activities, but something has changed. If these once life-giving activities now bring seem mundane and pointless, bringing no joy or happiness, speaking with a counselor may help uncover the reasons for the change, bring clarity to the situation, and allow for a shift toward greater fulfillment.
